The strip-out of the Bevington Road houses has begun to reveal some secrets we didn’t know the buildings were still keeping — including concealed original fireplaces which will be preserved and decorative brickwork around the insides of the windows.

Scaffolding has been erected to permit repointing work, as well as work to the roof, while the insides of the buildings have now been stripped down to the bone, with original tiles and other features being kept and much of the wood being recycled by community projects like RAW Oxford.
